If you are interested in using programs like Photoshop and Painter to produce backgrounds for your flash animations you might be interested in the back issues of the 2d Artist Magazine:
If you wish to download the magazine in its entirety, there is a charge for each issue, or an option for a subscription. However, if you look at the links in the Back Issues section, you will see that for each month there is an option to ‘Download Free ‘Lite’ version’. This means that instead of the full version which can be over a hundred pages, you get a lite version that is between 40-50 pages. But it’s free, and there are a lot of images to inspire you!
